Sheriff Sgt. Arrested in Bikini Barista Prostitution Raids Resigns
Darrell O'Neill has resigned from his position as sergeant with the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office. He was arrested in June in raids on Puget Sound bikini barista stands.
Darrell O’Neill has resigned from his position as sergeant with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, according to sheriff's officials.
O'Neill was one of eight people arrested after June 25 raids on seven "bikini barista" stands around Puget Sound. O'Neill allegedly would warn bikini baristas when they were targeted by undercover police in exchange for sexual favors.

O’Neill was placed on paid administrative leave following his arrest on June 25 for conspiracy to promote prostitution and official misconduct and his law enforcement authority had been suspended.
O’Neill’s actions leading up to his arrest in June by the Everett Police Department for conspiracy to promote prostitution and official misconduct had been under investigation by the Office of Professional Accountability. A Sheriff’s Office internal investigation was being conducted but is now terminated, per O’Neill’s separation from employment. Any criminal charges filed would be the result of the criminal investigation being conducted by the Everett Police Department.
