I served in the Air Force as a newspaper editor and photojournalist for four years, and then earned my M.Ed in Secondary Education. I taught English and ESL to adults, and students from K-12th grade for about three years. I left the sunshine of my California home for the "partly sunny" experience of Washington six years ago, and absolutely love the Pacific Northwest. As a freelance writer, I cover a variety of news topics for Woodinville Patch, including education, police and fire, but my real passion is covering human interest stories and writing features.
