Who am I? Hmmm.....

I am a mom to two adventurous (sometimes) , adorable (most of the time), and curious (all the time) little kids.  My son M is 5 and my daughter J is 3.

I am an elementary school teacher who currently finds herself with a class size of 2. I am lucky enough to be able to be a stay at home mom at this point in my kids' lives, which has challenges all in its own.

I am part of a full-fledged Edmonds-loving team.  My husband and I are not from this area.  We both grew up in New England, but we moved around quite a bit in the beginning of our married life.  And when we first moved tothe Seattle-area, we did not live in Edmonds.  But we quickly learned that we wanted to.  We like to say that we stalked Edmonds before we took the plunge and moved here.  Every weekend would find us in Edmonds, attending Edmonds-based festivals and fairs, walking around downtown or at the waterfront, and eating at Edmonds restaurants.  In February 2009 we moved into our beloved fixer upper near Yost Park and haven't looked back since!

Every day, I am trying very hard to appreciate all the beauty that is around us and take advantage of all the wonderful opportunities for adults and kids in our area.  Although it can be easy to get bogged down in daily tasks, I want to make sure that I look up and take it all in, the mountains on both sides of us, the fog rolling in off the sound, the eagle flying down 100th Ave.  That's what I want to remember at the end of my day and the kind of childhood I want my children to have.
