Amtrak was created in 1971 by Congress to provide interstate transportation for the continental United States. The Edmonds Station is located on the waterfront, set just aside from small shops, the ferry terminal and various eateries. Inside, you will find a modest, clean waiting area with maps and pamphlets about local attractions and books. Outside, there is limited seating and newspaper vending machines.
