Edmonds Clothing Drive Is Helping to Keep the Needy Warm for Winter

Ordinary Things in Edmonds is now accepting donations.

It’s going to get cold this weekend in Edmonds. The National Weather Service predicts that a series of cold weather systems will settle into Puget Sound beginning Friday.

, a consignment store in Edmonds, is now holding a clothing drive to help kids in need fend off the cold.

You can bring new or gently used clothes—coats, gloves, scarves, hats and such—and blankets to the store now through Nov. 15 if you want to help. Donations will go to Clothes for Kids, Pathways for Women and the Snohomish County Health Department.

Donations are being kept in a Volkswagen Beetle, donated for the drive by Campbell-Nelson Volkswagen in Edmonds, in front of the store.

Leading the drive is 16-year-old Edmonds-Woodway student Hailey Trumble, who has made it her passion for the past few years. Her mother, Shannon Trumble, owns and runs Ordinary Things.

The clothing drive continues through Nov. 16 at Ordinary Things, 610 Fifth Ave. S., Edmonds. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. For more information, call 425-776-4912.
