Filling Up Before Labor Day? Where to Find the Best Gas Prices in Edmonds
Day to day prices are setting record highs, according to AAA.
Getting ready to head out on a road trip for Labor Day Weekend? Prepare yourself for pain at the pump—gas prices are hitting record highs across the country and are not expected to start coming back down until after the holiday.
Before you pack up the car and hit the road, make sure you check out Edmonds Patch's Commute page to see low gas prices near you. A recent search found a low price of $4.04 a gallon at the 76 station on Edmonds Way and 7-11 on 238th St. SW.

According to AAA, Washington state has experienced the sixth-highest average price increase—20 cents per gallon—from Aug. 20, 2011, to Aug. 20, 2012. The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded was $3.97 in our state at the beginning of the last week, the report stated.
Nationwide, the average price of $3.72 on Aug. 20 was the highest ever for that day in history. AAA expects prices to begin to drop after Labor Day but says record-breaking averages will likely continue into the fall.
