Edmonds in Bloom Garden Tour Sunday

Gardens in Edmonds and Woodway will be spotlighted.

The annual Edmonds in Bloom Garden Tour of Edmonds and Woodway is this Sunday and features seven homes.

It's from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $15 per person for the self-guided tour.

Tickets are also available the day of the tour at the first garden on the tour.

The following artists can be seen doing Plein Air painting in the six private gardens on the tour: Susan Waite, Autumn Kegley, Sarah Lee Cox, Steve Whitney, Janci Mannington and Kim Caldwell.

On Sept. 29 from 1-4 p.m. there will be a reception and a month-long show of their work at in Edmonds.

Meanwhile, the Edmonds in Bloom competition has closed and judging is now going on through July 18. A new category for vegetables and fruit in the front garden has been added.

An awards reception, open to all entrants and citizens, is Aug. 8 at the Edmonds Center for the Arts.

Edmonds in Bloom is a 17-year-old, all-volunteer nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote floral beauty for the pleasure of Edmonds residents and to attract visitors to Edmonds.
