“The PDL is the best place for young players to showcase for Major League Soccer and other leagues,” SeaWolves owner/coach Alex Silva said. “We would like to find talented players and develop them to get to the next level.”

In 2011 the expansion SeaWolves went 4-6-4 and finished sixth in the Northwest Division of the PDL. In a tryout last March, the club had 140 potential players turn out, and Silva hopes for a similar pool of players this year.

“I would like to see players who are hungry for the game, who have a goal, work well with teammates,” Silva said. “We want to create a great environment where players want to play.”
