The SeaWolves are coming off of a 1-0 loss to the Crossfire on May 23. They opened the season with a 2-1 win over Fraser Valley on May 20.

“We’re still coming together and learning how to play as a team,” Silva said. “It helped to have this week of practice between games. I want to see us play more physical and come out stronger from the start. This will be a good test for us.”

North Sound’s goals have come from forwards Abdu Aman and Brady Ballew. Goal keeper Claudio Lazar has made 12 saves in two games.

The Crossfire are coming off of a 2-1 loss to Kitsap on Wednesday. The Redmond-based club is coached by former SeaWolves player Adam Nowland and is led by forward Eli Gordley, who has two goals, including the game-winner in the victory over the SeaWolves.

Last season, Gordley scored seven goals and had four assists in just four games for the Kitsap Pumas. Adam Bonifacio and Nick James also have goals for the Crossfire.

“They’re a talented team,” Silva said. “But we didn’t give them our best effort the last time we played. I expect us to play much better this time, especially playing in front of our home fans.”

The SeaWolves are a member of the Premier Development League, the highest level of amateur soccer in the United States. Today's game will be the first of eight home matches to be played in June.
