Batter Up: 14th Annual Seattle Mariners FanFest Is This Weekend at Safeco

We know there a lot of Seattle Mariners fans in Edmonds. Even after six losing seasons in the past eight years, true baseball fans are no doubt looking forward to the team's 14th annual FanFest, which is Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Safeco Field.

Admission is $10, $5 for kids and free for those 5 and under.

Tickets are available online and at Mariners Team Stores in Puget Sound, including the one at Alderwood Mall.

Among the Mariners appearing at the event will be catcher Jesus Montero, who on Monday officially became a Mariner after the team traded pitcher Michael Pineda to the New York Yankees to get him.

Also scheduled are Mike Carp, Brandon League, Miguel Olivo, Trayvon Robinson (Sunday only), Brendan Ryan, Jason Vargas and Casper Wells

Also appearing are players labeled as "future stars"—Vinnie Catricala, Danny Hultzen, James Paxton and Taijuan Walker, as well as former Mariners Jay Buhner on Saturday and Dan Wilson and Julio Cruz on Sunday only.

Manager Eric Wedge and general manager Jack Zduriencik will be on hand, as well as broadcasters Brad Adam, Mike Blowers, Rick Rizzs and Dave Valle.

Autographs limited to the first 500 fans per signing session.
