Stadium Jam! Jam the Stands! Warriors and Mavericks Renew Rivalry Tonight

The Edmonds Stadium stands will be packed for this nonconference game featuring natural and longtime rivals. Barbecue dinner benefiting E-W begins at 5 p.m.

The Edmonds-Woodway football team is looking to avenge a loss to rival Meadowdale tonight when the two undefeated team meet at Edmonds Stadium on the E-W campus.

The Mavericks beat the Warriors 27-7 last year. The Warriors won 10-7 in 2010.

The stadium will be packed with screaming kids in colorful outfits—and their equally rowdy parents—for this Edmonds School District rivalry.

To Meadowdale students, it’s Jam the Stands.

What: Edmonds-Woodway vs. Meadowdale

Where: Edmonds Stadium on the Edmonds-Woodway campus.

When: Tonight at 8

Breakdown: Edmonds-Woodway has won its first two games, beating Everett 42-14 and Mountlake Terrace 48-29. The team's offense, under coach John Gradwohl, is led by quarterback quarterback Davis Giles, running back Desmond Young and receiver Matt Cuzzetto.

Meadowdale is 2-0 on the season after beating Kamiak 28-18 and Inglemoor 36-9. In addition to quarterback Brian Marty, the Mavs feature running backs Giavani Shepard and Morgan Masanda.

Edmonds-Woodway's annual salmon barbecue will be held before the game from 6 to 8 p.m. It will be held in the courtyard entrance just across the street from the north ticket entrance. Tickets available at the event.
