School Uniforms Decision Delayed

The Edmonds School Board delayed a decision on school uniforms at their Tuesday meeting, Q13 FOX is reporting.

While most member are in support, they said they need more time to clarify the policy's wording. The policy would allow individual schools to require student uniforms.

draft states schools would have to obtain input from parents, students and staff before implementing a uniform requirement, and families would be given an opportunity to apply for exemption.

If approved, the new policy wouldn't go into effect at any schools until at least 2014.

Do you think requiring uniforms is a good idea? Why or why not? Tell us in the comments section.
