Obama Beats Romney—At Edmonds Schools
Statewide, students voted against decriminalizing marijuana, and showed support for Jay Inslee in the gubernatorial race and Barack Obama in the presidential race.
Edmonds-Woodway students have voted no on decriminalizing marijuana and to public charter schools, approved same-sex marriage and supported Democrats Jay Inslee and President Barack Obama.
The voting was part of the statewide student mock election run by the Washington Secretary of State.
The polls for the student mock election closed Friday after a week of student participating. This year, 38,848 students statewide took part in the event, now in its ninth year, according to the Secretary of State's blog. That's more than double the previous record number of student voters in 2008.
