For the second year in a row, the Meadowdale Mavericks beat the Edmonds-Woodway Warriors in a natural rivalry at Edmonds Stadium.
Friday's 28-14 win by the Wesco 3A leaders (3-0) over Wesco 4A South E-W (2-1) comes after last year's 27-7 drubbing.
Meadowdale was led by quarterback Brian Marty, who threw a 32-yard touchdown pass to Charlie White, and by running back Morgan Masanda, who scored on runs of 28, 7 and 4 yards.

Edmond-Woodway's Junior Opoku-Mensah scored both Warrior touchdowns, on runs of 7 and 4 yards.
E-W was without star running back Desmond Young, injured in last week's game against Mountlake Terrace.

The Warriors play the Jackson Timberwolves on Sept. 21 at Everett Memorial Stadium. The Mavericks play Shorecrest at Edmonds Stadium.
