Give Peace a Chance: CPM Students to Read Winning Essays on Radio Tonight

Megan Kelly and Mikayla Monroe win contest focusing on "The Power of Peace."

Tune into the radio tonight to hear two College Place Middle School eighth graders.

Megan Kelly and Mikayla Monroe will be reading their award-winning essays tonight at 6 during "The Power of Peace" radio program on 90.7 KSER-FM. The independent radio station serves Snohomish County and is based in Everett.

The essays by Kelly and Monore were first-place winners announced by the Linda Jewell Memorial Essay Contest offered by the Snohomish County Peace Action.

The two students wrote their essays while in Carolyn Gross' seventh-grade English class.

The program can also be heard on the station's website. After the live broadcast, it will also be available for two weeks on the website as well.Β
