EWHS Athletic Booster Club Looking for Volunteers for Annual Fundraiser

"Luck O' the Warriors" is March 17 at the school's library.

The Edmonds Woodway High School’s Athletic Booster Club and Parent Staff Organization are holding their fourth annual auction and community party March 17 from 5 to 10 p.m. at the Lynnwood Convention Center.

Volunteers are needed to join the planning committee. Weekly planning meetings are Wednesdays at 7 p.m. in the Edmonds-Woodway High School Library.

The theme of the March 17 event is “Luck O’ the Warriors.” In addition to the auction, there will be a dinner and a selection of spirits.

“With yet more budget cuts pending, our school’s athletic, academic and extra-curricular programs rely heavily upon the support of local merchants and the entire community as a viable means of both financial and moral support,” says Matt Douglas, booster club president.

“The annual auction is a phenomenal event and a truly great time. The proceeds this year will provide much needed resources to fund athletic and academic programs, as well as scholarships to cover fees required for participation. We’re grateful that the town of Edmonds understands these students are our future and believes that each teen who wants to participate in sports and clubs should not be prohibited by cost.”
