Edmonds-Woodway Library Asking for Help in Donations of Essential Items

Request made by E-W's new librarian, Lauren Wolter.

The library at has a new librarian and a new interactive website.

The library fulfills many of the students' needs, but now it needs your help in supplying some of its most basic needs.

Lauren Wolter, E-W's new librarian, says she's looking for donations of items  loaned to students daily. They include tissues, glue sticks, pencils, markers, crayons, colored pencils, Post-its, Wite-Out and Expo markers.

Donations can be left in the school's main office.

Those interested in donating books can contact the library to find out what is needed, Wolter says.

The Edmonds-Woodway library is open to students both before and after school every day from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. The library has 45 computers for students to use, space to study, conference rooms for group projects and library staff to help and answer questions.

Wolter is a native of Texas who earned her master’s degree in library science from the University of North Texas. In June 2010, she moved to Seattle for her husband’s medical residency.
