During the Relay For Life events, paper lanterns are used to light the path for the luminary ceremony. Simple white luminaria bags are transformed and illuminated after dark at every local Relay For Life event.

For a donation of $5 per bag, the Key Club will create a luminary in memory or honor of those who has fought cancer.

Each one is personalized with the name, message, picture or drawing in memory or honor of a friend or loved one who has been affected.

From Edmonds-Woodway:

When night falls we are in need of luminary bags to light up our path to a cure. For a donation of $5 per bag, we will create a luminary in memory or honor of someone you know who has fought cancer. Below is an order form where you can tell us how you want us to decorate your bag, as well as additional information. So please order a bag, and attend the walk as we honor those who have fought this disease and search for a cure to save the lives of those still fighting.
