Edmonds School Board Set to Vote on Policy Allowing Uniforms
Officials with the Edmonds School District are set to vote tonight on a policy that would allow individual schools to require student uniforms.
A draft of the policy states schools would have to obtain input from parents, students and staff before implementing a uniform requirement, and families would be given an opportunity to apply for exemption.
KING 5 reports at least two schools in the district approve of the policy. A poll at College Place Middle School in Lynnwood found two-thirds of parents in favor of a uniform requirement.
The Edmonds School District board meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Educational Service Center, 20420 68th Ave. W in Lynnwood.
