Unfinished business for Jordan and the Warriors:

Jordan and the Warriors boys basketball team will face Arlington in the first round of the upcoming 4A Northwest District 1 Tournament.

The playoffs present an opportunity for the E-W senior to realize one of his final goals as a Warrior.

"Before I end my high school basketball career, I would like to win at least one district playoff game," said Jordan.

Jordan on the biggest influences in his life on the court:

Playing with a passion for his teammates and the game is of the utmost importance to the E-W senior.

Jordan named Tim Tebow of the Denver Broncos as an inspiring figure. Tebow is known for his own intense approach to the game.

"He is my idol because of his passion for God and his hard work on the field," said Jordan.

Tebow, who aside from football is also known for his philanthropic work and ministry around the world, has also shed light on the ways in which athletes can use their stardom to assist those in need.

"The way he prepares himself to be the best he can be, not only as a player but as a person, is something I admire about him."

Jordan on the most memorable moments of his Warrior athletic career:

One of the top memories in Jordan's four years at Edmonds-Woodway was winning the South division of 4A WesCo in 2010 for coach

Another of the highlights from Jordan's time at E-W came during last year's basketball season, when the Warriors took down Meadowdale at the buzzer in overtime, sending students and fans pouring onto the court for a celebration.

Outside the lines:

Like many young men, Jordan has found inspiration in all areas of life from his father.

"The most influential person I know is my dad because he has taught me how to be the best I can be in life," said Jordan.

"I look up to him because I think he lives by the things he teaches me and works hard to be there for me whenever he can.

Glory Days:

With his Edmonds-Woodway career winding down, Jordan took the time to reflect on the relationships he has built with his teammates during their Glory Days as Warriors.

"Most of them I have gone to school with for the past six years," Jordan said of his teammates. "They are like brothers to me. Over the next couple of weeks I really want to just have fun with them."

After forming such a tight bond during their time together, Jordan wants nothing more than to relish every moment with his friends.

"I know that I won’t have another opportunity to play with this group again and I want to make the most of it while it still lasts," the senior said.

The education of Josh Jordan:

Another individual who has played a major role in Jordan's time at E-W is basketball coach

Jordan spoke about how Rubin and his staff connect with their players on a level much deeper than basketball.

"They taught me so much about life in general," said Jordan. "They aren’t the type of X’s and O’s coaches. They really care about making you a better person."

One of the most important lessons Jordan says he has taken from Rubin and his staff is that anything worth having requires hard work.

"Whether it’s shooting a free throw or doing a history assignment, they want us to look back on all of our decisions in life and be able to be proud of what we did," said Jordan of Rubin and his assistant coaches.

Post-high school plans:

After completing the basketball season and his final semester as at E-W, Jordan hopes to study exercise science.

Among the colleges still in play for Jordan are Seattle Pacific University, Azusa Pacific University (Azusa, CA), Westmont College (Santa Barbra, CA) and Point Loma University in San Diego, California.

Wherever he ends up, Jordan does hope to continue his basketball career at the next level.
