E-W Players Present Arthur Miller's "The Crucible" Beginning Tonight

The bewitching story addresses a number of hot-topic themes.

Arthur Miller's play The Crucible will be presented by the Edmonds-Woodway Players at beginning tonight.

The Crucible is a daunting, bewitching play set in the conservative town of Salem. The story begins after the Rev. Parris discovers his daughter and niece, along with their group of friends, dancing like, as he calls them, “heathens.”

With the rumors of witchcraft going around town, fingers begin pointing at one another, creating uproar within their community. Along with witchcraft, the play also addresses themes of corrupt societies, adultery, truth and religion.
