Brighton School Students Create Paper Cranes

The students folded hundreds of paper cranes in honor of the Japanese people affected by the earthquake.

Last week, nearly 300 students at Brighton School in Lynnwood created hundreds of origami paper cranes to honor the Japanese people impacted by the recent devastating earthquake.

The students boxed up most up their cranes and presented them to representatives of Osh Kosh B’Gosh, which will donate one article of clothing to a child in Japan in exchange for each folded crane.

The cranes not given to Osh Kosh B'Gosh are now on display at the Edmonds Library. Visitors to the library can fold their own crane and add it to the display.
