A Joyous Back-to-School Moment at Edmonds' Holy Rosary

New York photographer goes west for a great shot.

Thanks to Edmonds Patch reader Carolyn Douglas, who tipped us to this delightful back-to-school photo.

The photo, of students in Holy Rosary School's eighth-grade class, is fast making the rounds at Edmonds school.

The photo is part of New York-based photographer Jordan Matter's book called "Dancers Among Us." It can pre-ordered now and will be published on Oct. 23.

From Jordan's blog:

The first stop on my 30 hour trip to Seattle for Dancers Among Us was about an hour outside of town in Edmonds, WA. I was due to shoot a young dancer named Claire Conaty. Her mother, Leanne, had contacted me, asking if Claire could participate in a photo shoot. My schedule was already booked when Leanne emailed me, but once she mentioned that Claire attended Holy Rosary Catholic School, I took the bait.
