Edmonds Community College Looking for Distinguished Alumni

Nominations must be in by Dec. 3.

The Edmonds Community College Foundation seeks nominations for its 2011 Distinguished Alumni Awards. Submit nominations by Dec. 3 online at www.edcc.edu/foundation for consideration for the 2011 award.

Since established in 1991, the college Foundation’s Distinguished Alumni award has been given to 52 people notable for academic success, professional achievement, and community service. They include outstanding community leaders who are artists, attorneys, fire chiefs, musicians, educators, therapists, business owners, and engineers.

There were two honorees last year: Carpenter John Littel, political and legislative director for the Pacific Northwest Regional Council of Carpenters and graduate of the college’s construction management degree program; and certified public accountant Becky Mackenstadt, a senior audit and accounting manager at Vine Dahlen PLLC in Lynnwood. She's a graduate of the college’s accounting degree program and Central Washington University-Lynnwood’s bachelors of scien in accounting and business administration program.
