Want to Have a Say in Salaries at Edmonds City Hall?

The city is looking for up to three people for its Citizens' Commission on Compensation of Elected Officials

The City of Edmonds is seeking up to three people to fill openings on the Citizens’ Commission on Compensation of Elected Officials.

The positions are nonpaid, volunteer positions. All appointees must be at least 21 years of age, a registered voter and must be a resident within city limits.

This seven-member advisory commission meets every other year on a periodic basis, at a mutually agreeable time, at Edmonds City Hall. Board members serve for a four-year term and are eligible for reappointment.

The commission’s duties include reviewing the salaries and benefits of the City’s elected officials and preparing an advisory recommendation for the City Council’s deliberation. The commission seeks to establish realistic compensation so that citizens of the highest quality may be attracted to public service.
