Interested in a nearby Sunday stroll? The Snohomish County Tourism Bureau has just released its expanded, 3rd edition of the Snohomish County Hiking Guide by well-known local outdoors author Craig Romano.

Off the presses just Wednesday and available on-line (attached here as an 7.8MG PDF file) and by mail, the 52-page guide features 30 great hikes in the county, including a few local favorites.

Those would be Lunds Gulch down to Puget Sound at nearby Meadowdale County Park, Scriber’s Lake in Lynnwood and Big Gulch in Mukilteo.

The guide, handy at 8.5x5.5 inches, also features several Snohomish County classics like the Big Four Ice Caves, Mount Pilchuck Lookout and Lake Twenty-Two along the Mountain Loop Highway; the historic Lime Kiln Trail outside Granite Falls; and Wallace Falls near Gold Bar.
