Snow in Edmonds: Here Are the Roads to Take If You're Driving Around Town
24-hour coverage is now ongoing until the weather breaks. Be prepared for the rain once the weather warms, and look for urban flooding.
UPDATE at 10:41 a.m.: The city's Public Works Department says the Main Street hill beginning to cover with compact snow and ice. Cars are having difficulties. A plow truck dispatched.
Here is a statement from Tod Moles from the City of Edmonds' Public Works department (this links to priority snow routes which are kept clear) on what the city is doing to deal with the snow:
“As of 10 a.m., we have two plow trucks active, a third on standby. All equipment remains operational with approximately 200 yard of sand in stock. We are currently offloading a shipment of anti-ice that was purchased a couple weeks ago, so all of our stocks are in great shape.

“The crews worked 130 man-hours through the holiday weekend keeping the streets open. There have been no serious accidents reported due to the conditions, and we hope to keep it that way.
“My crew is prepared for a long event and we will continue to have 24-hour coverage until the weather breaks. I would warn residents to be prepared for the rainfall once the weather warms, and look for urban flooding. Be conscious of where the storm drains are on your street and help public works by clearing them during the melt off.
