Snohomish County Program Offers Free Preschool to Low-Income Families

Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program now accepting applications.

Snohomish County’s Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) is accepting applications to fill openings at 21 locations. The free preschool is offered to four-year-old children from low-income families.

The following free services are provided to eligible families:

  • Children take part in a preschool program with literacy, math, art, science and field trips.
  • Children receive health screenings and referrals.
  • Parents receive information about local resources, opportunities for parent education and family fun nights.
  • Parents can volunteer in the program and learn more about community leadership.

“ECEAP is a program that gives the youngest learners in Snohomish County a chance to succeed in the public education system,” says Snohomish County Executive Aaron Reardon.  “For 25 years, ECEAP has proved it can help families and their children build a solid foundation for the future."
