Rob English, an engineer for the City of Edmonds, has been elected as co-chairman for the Snohomish County Infrastructure Coordinating Committee.
The mission of the committee, which meets monthly, is to coordinate the planning, funding and implementation of infrastructure and transportation systems in Snohomish County.
The ICC is a standing committee comprised of public works representatives of the cities, county and the Tulalip Tribes. Representatives from the Snohomish County Public Utility District and the Washington State Department of Transportation serve on the committee as well, along with water and sewer districts.
English will also serve as one of the Snohomish County City Regional Project Evaluation Committee (RPEC) representatives at the Puget Sound Regional Council.
RPEC meets monthly to make recommendations on criteria and specific projects for federal funding and deal with related transportation planning issues.
“I’m pleased to see continued participation of the City of Edmonds at the regional level and I think Rob will provide excellent leadership on the committee” said Edmonds Mayor Dave Earling.
