Rob Chave Named Edmonds City Employee of the Year

Among others honored at a ceremony this week were Mary Ann Hardie, Gerald Gannon, Caroline Thompson and Richard Lindsay.

Planning Manager Rob Chave was named City of Edmonds Employee of the Year at a ceremony Tuesday at ceremony held at the .

Chave, a City employee for 20 years, has contributed to numerous accomplishments, including being involved in the local implementation of the Growth Management Act and Regulatory Reform requirements; the development and maintenance of the City’s first Geographic Information System; and the establishment of downtown business zones and design standards.

He’s also been involved in the City’s Comprehensive Plan updates.

Three other employees were recognized for a Distinguished Service Award:

  • Mary Ann Hardie, acting Human Resources manager
  • Gerald Gannon, Assistant Police Chief
  • Caroline Thompson, executive assistant to Police Chief Al Compaan

There were other service awards presented, including one for for his 40 years of service with the city.
