Results From Water District, School Board and Hospital Races

Karianna Wilson, Gary Noble, Mike Harrigan, Diana White and Stephanie Wright among those with big leads.

Edmonds City Councilman D.J. Wilson may in a touch re-election battle with opponent Joan Bloom, but another member of the Wilson family won a race by a big margin on Tuesday.

Karianna Wilson, who is D.J. Wilson's wife, has a decisive lead in the positon of commissioner for Hospital District No. 2. Wilson has has 11,948 votes to opponent David Peterson's 7,441, earning her a 61 percent to 38 percent margin.

Here are the results from other races in Snohomish County. All figures are from Tuesday night and will be updated later today.

EDMONDS PORT COMMISSION

Two of the five positions are up for election.

Port Commission District 2
Marianne Zagorski did not file for re-election. David Preston ran unopposed.

Port Commissioner At Large Position 4
Incumbent Jim Orvis ran unopposed.

WOODWAY TOWN COUNCIL
There are five council seats. Two positions up for re-election were unopposed.

Position 4
Mike Quinn ran unopposed.

Position 5
Elizabeth Mitchell ran unopposed.

OLYMPIC VIEW WATER DISTRICT
Olympic View operates in portions of Edmonds, Woodway and unincorporated Snohomish County.

Commissioner, Position 3
Pat Meeker did not seeking re-election. Mike Harrigan leads Barb Kathol with 1,294 votes, or 59.9 percent of the total. Kathol picked up 858 votes, or 39.7 percent.

EDMONDS SCHOOL DISTRICT 15

Director District 1
Incumbent Susan Paine did not file for re-election. Kory DeMun was unopposed.

Director District  3
Incumbent Gary Noble scored a decisive victory over challenger Boe Lindgren. Noble has 14,079 votes (77 percent) to Lindgren's 4,212 (23 percent).

Director District 5
Incumbent Pat Shields did not file for re-election. Diana White has a solid lead with 11,746 votes (64 percent) whil Mark Dillan has 6,572 (36 percent).

SNOHOMISH COUNTY COUNCIL DISTRICT 3
Serving Edmonds, Woodway and Lynnwood.
 
Incumbent Stephanie Wright has a large lead over opponet Kathy Vaughn. Wright has tallied 10,982 votes (60 percent) to Kathy Vaughn's 7,356 (40 percent). Wright, a Democrat, was appointed to her current position when Mike Cooper was named mayor of Edmonds last year.
 
SNOHOMISH COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT 1

Commissioner Position 2
Richard Schrock ran unopposed.

Commissioner Position 3
David Chan ran unopposed.

SNOHOMISH COUNTY HOSPITAL DISTRICT 2
Five commissioners serve Edmonds, Woodway, Brier, Lynnwood and Mountlake Terrace.

Commissioner Position 1
Deana Knutsen
has a commanding lead with 13,454 votes (69 percent). Kerry Ayers has 5,860 votes (30 percent).

Commissioner Position 3
Bob Knowles
has a big lead with 11,589 votes (60) percent. Eric Radcliffe has 7,669 votes (40 percent).

Commissioner Position 4
Karianna Wilson
leads with 11,948 votes (61 percent) over David Peterson's 7,441 (38 percent).

COUNTY ASSESSOR
Incumbent Cindy Portman leads challenger Chris Vallo. Portman picked up 62,727 votes (68 percent) while Vallo has 29,071 (32 percent).
 
SNOHOMISH SUPERIOR COURT JUDGE, POSITION 5
Richard T. Okrent. Okrent was appointed by Gov. Chris Gregorie in January after the retirement of Judge Gerald L. Wright.

There are other nonpartisan Snohomish County government positions where the incumbents had no competition: They include auditor Carolyn Weikel, clerk Sonya Kraski, Sheriff John Lovick and treasurer Kirke Sievers.
