PUD Work May Bring Brief Power Outages to Downtown Edmonds

New telephone poles are being placed on Main Street, says the City.

Business owners in downtown Edmonds may experience brief power outages today as the Snohomish County PUD is working on installing new poles and moving transmission lines on Main Street.

The work is part of the renovation of Main Street between Fifth and Sixth avenues.

"(Businesses) may experience a power flutter from time to time, but no significant outages are scheduled," said Stephen Clifton, the City of Edmonds' Community Services  and Economic Development director.
