Public Hearing on State Pot Rules Set for Aug. 6 in Shoreline
The Washington State Liquor Control Board approved 42 pages of rules for marijuana legalization last week.
A public hearing will be held Aug. 6 at Shoreline Community College to give community members an opportunity to weigh in on proposed rules for marijuana legalization in Washington state.
The meeting runs from 6 to 9 p.m. and will be held at the main dining hall on campus, located at 16101 Greenwood Ave. N.

Last week, the Washington State Liquor Control board approved42 pages of rules concerning marijuana production, processing and distribution. The plan is set to be adopted on Aug. 14 and go into effect on Sept. 16, the same day the state would begin accepting license applications for the newly legal industry.
The Shoreline meeting is one of four that will be held around the state early next month. Here are the other dates and locations:
