Parking Lot Opening Monday at Edmonds Station
Construction continues at the Sound Transit Edmonds Station, but the south parking lot will open this Monday.
Sound Transit will open the Edmonds Station south parking lot to commuters on Monday. Drivers can access the lot from West Dayton Street.
The north parking lot closed on Friday for construction, and the project should be completed mid-summer. In order to meet parking demands during the construction period, Sound Transit will continue to offer a temporary parking lot on Admiral Way.
The construction is part of a $12.9 million project to improve Edmonds Station. In addition to the parking lot repaving, Sound Transit's updates include a new east platform with larger loading areas and passenger shelters. Crews are also adding new lighting and bike storage.

Sounds Transit also just began work to construct a transit center at the north end of the station for Community Transit bus service. The center will include two passenger shelters and three bus bays. The transit center is slated to be finished in July.
