Richmond Beach Saltwater Park will be closed until further notice while the Shoreline Fire Department completes its investigation into the cause of a brush fire Monday evening.
The fire broke out around 7:30 p.m. and burned approximately two acres of brush near the railroad track overpass bridge.
The fire was brought under control by 9:30 p.m. All available Shoreline Fire Department crews were at the seen and neighboring fire departments assisted with other emergency calls throughout the evening.
There was no damage to any structures or the bridge.
