Latin World Music on Tap Today at Free Summer Concert in the Park

David Correa and Cascada perform at 3 p.m.

The Edmonds Arts Commission's 2012 continues today at 3 p.m. with a free performance by David Correa and Cascada.

All concerts are held in Edmonds City Park, Third Avenue South and Pine Street. Bring the family, lawn chairs or blanket and join in for some great music and family entertainment.

David Correa and Cascada, who play Latin guitar world music, come from San Francisco, where they have built a reputation for being one of the best Latin bands in the Bay Area.

The group has a strong Latin and Spanish sound, but also blends Latin folk and rumba rhythms fused with Middle Eastern melodies. CASCADA was named the Best Latin Band in the North Bay for three consecutive years.Β 

This year’s Summer Concerts in the Park series is sponsored by Lynnwood Honda and Acura of Lynnwood. Concerts are presented by the Edmonds Arts Commission on behalf of the Edmonds City Council and are accessible to those with disabilities.

In the event of rain, the concert will be cancelled at 2:30 p.m. The next concert is Aug. 5 with the MoodSwings performing Big Band songs.Β
