Jazz on the Pier in Edmonds?

The Port of Edmonds is considering live, free music during the summer featuring local high school bands.

More live, outdoor music could be in Edmonds' future.

At Monday's night's Port of Edmonds Commission meeting, a suggestion was made that the Port start experimental weekly "Jazz on the Pier" performances during summer months.

They would feature small combos from Edmonds' award-winning high school music programs performing in the mid-marina plaza area. Initial scheduling thoughts center on Wednesday evenings and, perhaps, Sunday during brunch hours.
