Immigrant Group Hosts DREAM Act Discussion
The town hall will provide information about who is eligible and how to apply for a deportation deferment under the federal measure.
Immigrant advocacy group OneAmerica will host a town hall in Lynnwood on Aug. 23 about the DREAM Act and President Barack Obama's recent announcement that the federal government will stop deporting young immigrants who meet certain requirements.
The meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Edmonds School District office at 20420 68th Ave. W.
OneAmerica says its representatives will be able to provide information about who's eligible for the program, what it takes to apply, and the risks and benefits of participating.
