Election Forum Tonight Has Wide Range of Candidates

The League of Women Voters-sponsored event will also include candidates for Edmonds School Board, Snohomish County Executive and Water District and Hospital District commissions.

A third community forum with candidates for mayor and City Council will be held tonight at 7 at , 828 Caspers St., Edmonds.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the event, which is sponsored by the League of Women Voters, the American Association of University Women and the Edmonds United Methodist Outreach Team.

Candidates for mayor are incumbent Mike Cooper and challenger Dave Earling. City Council candidates include incumbents Diane Buckshnis, D.J. Wilson and Lora Petso, as well as Bob Wilcox, Joan Bloom, Frank Yamamoto, Alvin Rutledge and Darlene Stern.

The first two forums were held at the Edmonds Center for the Arts and the Edmonds Senior Center.
