Shut Out: Voters Saying No to All Three Edmonds Levies

Levies were proposed to help with public safety, as well as maintaining and improving street and park improvements and contributing to the city's general fund.

Edmonds voters are making their voices clear: No new taxes.

Three proposed levies, all being defeated after initial results Tuesday night, were presented to voters as property tax increases to help with public safety, as well as maintaining and improving street and park improvements and contributing to the city’s general fund.

If all three levies pass, owners of a $375,000 home would have had to pay about $161 a year more in property taxes.

Here's a look at the three losing levies.
