Edmonds' Historic Preservation Committee Seeking Member

The commission identifies and actively encourages conservation of the city's historic resources.

Calling all Edmonds history buffs.

The City of Edmonds is looking for a volunteer for its Historic Preservation Commission.

Applicants must reside within the city of Edmonds, have a demonstrated interest or competence in historic preservation and possess qualities of impartiality and broad judgment.

by maintaining a register of historic places, reviewing proposed changes to register properties and raising community awareness and appreciation of the city’s history and historic resources.

It serves as the city’s primary resource in matters of history, historic planning and preservation. The commission meets the second Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.

Interested? You can pick up an application at the reception desk in the lobby of City Hall, 121 Fifth Ave. N., or call 425-771-0247 to receive an application by mail or e-mail.

Applications will be reviewed by current commission members prior to recommendation to Mayor Dave Earling.
