Edmonds City Council Interviews Set; Will Be Shown on Local TV Channels

Eighteen people have applied to Position No. 1.

The 18 candidates vying to become the next member of the Edmonds City Council be interviewed on May 29 and May 30.

The interviews are open to the public.

Interviews will be held in the Edmonds City Council Chambers at 250 Fifth Ave. N. They will be televised on City of Edmonds Government Access Channels 21 (Comcast) and 39 (Frontier) at noon and 7 p.m. beginning May 31.

The opening for Council Position No. 1 became available with the .

The list includes former councilman Steve Bernheim, for his Postion No. 6 seat. That seat was won by Frank Yamamoto.

The new councilmember's terms will run through 2013, when Plunkett's Position No. 1 term expires.
