City Council Incumbent Diane Bucksnis Announces Two Recent Endorsements

Incumbent Bucksnis is running against Bob Wilcox for Edmonds City Council position No. 4.

Diane Buckshnis, Edmonds City Council position No.4 incumbent who is running against Bob Wilcox in the Nov. 8 general election, has announced in a statement that she has received endorsements from SEIU Local 925 and state legislator Roger Goodman of Kirkland (D-45th District).

“I was impressed with her knowledge of municipality accounting and her leadership towards financial accountability and open government,” said Goodman. He added that Buckshnis understand municipal accounting, and his endorsement is based largely on her knowledge in this area.

SEIU Local 925 represents more than 23,000 local members involved in education, child care and public service. It is the only union representing education workers at every level, from infant care to PhD programs. SEIU Local 925 members work in university, public school and preschool education, state and local government, and nonprofit organizations throughout Washington.

"SEIU workers make our state a safe and healthy place to live, work, and raise our families which is consistent with Councilmember Buckshnis’s record and priorities moving forward," the statement read.
