Diane Buckshnis Overtakes Bob Wilcox in City Council Race

The incumbent now leads by 30 votes. Two other council races tighten up.

It looks like it's going to be a back-and-forth race between incumbent Diane Buckshnis and Bob Wilcox in the battle for City Council position No. 4.

Newly released election results show that Buckshnis now hold a 30-vote lead over her challenger.

After the first count, on election day, she was 38 votes behind. On Wednesday, she was 30 votes behind.

Buckshnis now has 4,673 votes, or 49.99 percent of the total. Wilcox has 4,643, or 49.67 percent.

  • Joan Bloom continues to lead incumbent D.J. Wilson for position 5, although the margin of votes in her favor decreased from 71 to 52.
  • Darlene Stern continues to lead incumbent Lora Petso, but her lead has shrunken from 228 votes to 176.

Edmonds Patch , who has beaten incumbent Mike Cooper, who was appointed to the positon in the summer of 2010 with the departure of Mayor Gary Haakenson.
