Conflict Continues at Edmonds City Hall

The City Council voided two "purported separation agreements" between Mayor Mike Cooper and his former assistant, Kimberly Cole, according to a published report.

The turmoil around the recent shakeup of Edmonds city staff continues, with the City Council voting at its Tuesday meeting that Mayor Mike Cooper didn't have the authority to enter into separation agreements with his former executive assistant.

My Edmonds News reports that the council voted unanimously to approve a resolution voiding two “purported separation agreements” that Cooper entered into with Kim Cole, .

The resolution said that the mayor wasn't allowed to enter into such agreements, the news site reported.
