Activist For Robin Hood Lanes Gets Meeting With the Mayor

Teri Terrano will be collecting signatures again on Wednesday at QFC in her effort to stop Walgreens from tearing down Robin Hood Lanes.

Teri Terrano, , has scored a meeting with Edmonds Mayor Dave Earling on Thursday to discuss Walgreens' plan to demolish Robin Hood Lanes and build a store there.

Terrano, who belongs to a weekly bowling league at , says says that she has been added as a party of record and will be notified of upcoming events concerning Walgreens’ permit process.

The permit was submitted by California-based Seven Hills Properties and partner Thomas J. Rocca.

It was on Dec. 26 that Terrano, who says she has never led a grassroots effort, got her feet wet by collecting signatures at . She’s also created a Facebook page, Robinhood Lanes Against Walgreens, which had 349 members as of Wednesday morning.

Terrano uses the Facebook page to detail her progress. Her latest entry gives details on a few of her efforts, including:

  • Speaking at the Edmonds School District PSO meeting on Jan. 23 from 6-7 p.m. to gauge interest in its “communication sources.”
  • Collecting addition signatures today from noon to 3 p.m at QFC.
  • Posting fliers at Edmonds Heights, Westgate Elementary faculty office and Edmonds Library.
  • Collecting signatures at on Fifth Avenue South on Friday from 3-6 p.m. on Friday.
  • Scheduling a time to collect signatures this week at the Edmonds fountain.
  • Working on a letter to submit to Robin Hood Lanes, the bowling alley’s landowners and Walgreens management.
