Certified Election Results Released by Snohomish County Auditor

No surprises are revealed, as the leaders in most races have remained constant.

The Snohomish County Auditor's office on Tuesday certified the results of the Nov. general election.

There were no last-minute surprises, although three of the Edmonds City Council were extremely close. However, they were close enough to trigger a recount, which requires that there must be a difference of 0.5 percent of the vote to trigger a recount.

In both position No. 4 and No. 7, Bob Wilcox and Darlene Stern, respectively, had early leads after results were first released, but were eventually overtaken by incumbents Diane Buckshnis (No. 4) and Lora Petso (No. 7).
