Edmonds Key Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested

The King County Sheriff's Office reports that a man suspected of robbing a Woodinville bank and attempting to rob an Edmonds bank was arrested in Everett Friday, Oct. 26.

A 26-year-old man was arrested today in Everett in connection with a bank robbery at a Woodinville bank and the attempted robbery of an Edmonds bank earlier this month.

On Oct. 22 around 2:30 p.m. the suspect entered the Key Bank in the 9900 block of Edmonds Way in Edmonds. He approached the teller and said he had a gun. The suspect was in the process of committing the robbery when he fled, prior to getting any money.

At approximately 5:30 p.m. the same day the suspect entered the US Bank in the 13200 block of NE 175th St in Woodinville. The suspect scribbled a note on a deposit slip and then presented it to the teller demanding money and claiming to have a gun. He was given money and was seen fleeing in a white Jeep Cherokee.

The arrest was the result of a joint investigation between detectives from the King County Sheriff’s Office, Edmonds Police Department and the F.B.I. The investigation led to the identification of the suspect who was arrested at a home in the 2100 block of Wetmore Ave in Everett around 3:30 p.m. today, Oct. 26.

The suspect will be booked into the King County Jail for investigation of first degree robbery and first degree attempted robbery.
