CAR FIRE: At 12:54 a.m., firefighters extinguished a car fire near Avondale Way and Gibson Road south of Everett. No one was injured.

RESCUE: At 2:26 a.m., firefighters rescued a woman who fell down an embankment in the 19500 block of Locust Way east of Lynnwood. The woman was transported by medics to Harborview Medical Center.
August 16
COLLISION: At 1:04 p.m., a motorcycle was involved in a collision in the 2900 block of 164th Street SW north of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported the injured cyclist to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
August 17
COLLISION: At 4:07 p.m., a motorcyclist tumbled off his bike on northbound I-5 at 128th Street SW south of Everett. Firefighters transported the injured cyclist to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
BEDROOM FIRE: At 10:29 p.m., a bedroom fire was reported at a house in the 2200 block of 96th Place SE east of Everett. When firefighters arrived, the small fire was out, but there were three people who required medical attention. Two were treated at the scene and one was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. It appeared the fire was started by a candle that was knocked over and came into contact with combustible materials. Damage was minimal.
August 18
OUTHOUSE FIRE: At 4:59 p.m., firefighters extinguished a fire in a port-a-potty in the 1600 block of Madison Way north of Lynnwood.
August 19
COLLISION: At 5:16 p.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital after responding to a two-car collision on northbound I-5 at 44th Avenue W in Lynnwood.
August 21
COLLISION: At 12:59 p.m., a two-car collision was reported at Jonathan Road and North Road east of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported one patient to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
GAS LEAK: At 3:35 p.m., a construction crew drilled through a natural gas main at 236th Street SW and 59th Place W in Mountlake Terrace. Firefighters and police shut down 236th Street SW for about 2.5 hours so utility crews could dig up the street and repair the leak. No one was injured.
Fire District 1 is the largest provider of fire and emergency medical services in Snohomish County, with full-time staffing at 12 fire stations. The department serves nearly 200,000 residents in unincorporated south Snohomish County, Brier, Edmonds, Mountlake Terrace and Woodway.
