2 Flee Vehicle With 5 Passengers That Goes Off Picnic Point Road

Accident occurred at about midnight.

A vehicle with four passengers and a driver went off the road near the 6800 block of Picnic Point Road in unincorporated Edmonds at about midnight this morning.

The vehicle came to rest about 100 yards down an embankment.  The driver and one passenger fled the scene, said Shari Ireton of the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office.

Two other passengers were sent to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The identity of the driver is known, although he is not in custody at this time.
